Athit Perawongmetha

 

an award-winning photographer, started his work as a hobby in 1997 when he was working as a computer engineer, Athit soon fell in love with photography. His passion for photography did not only bring him to destinations around Thailand but also into a new world of career. Athit decided to give up his full-time career and followed his desire

 

 

He becomes full-time Reuters Photographer based in Bangkok, Thailand in 2013.  

 

Awards

2010, Athit won FIRST PLACE in SPOT NEWS Catagory of FCCT/Onasia 2010 and he is selected by Visa Pour L' Image to exhibit his work and He is one of nominated for Visa D' or Award in News Category.

In 2011, Athit won FIRST PLACE in SPOT NEWS Catagory and AwardofExellence in Issue Reporting Picture Story -Freelance/Agency of POYi 68th, he also won 3rd PLACE Photo Story of DAYS JAPAN INTERNATIONAL PHOTOJOURNALISM AWARD.
